Alcohol Permit Update – State Board

On Tuesday April 5th, the State Alcohol and Tobacco Commission upheld the Local Board’s denial of Three Mile Properties’ application, noting in particular the strong local opposition to a gas station selling alcohol in the area. All alcohol permits have to be approved by the state board. If they choose, the applicant will now have 15 days to file an appeal to the State Board.

Over the weekend, everyone who testified as a remonstrator (against) the alcohol permit at the local board hearing received a certified letter stating that the State Board approved the permit. This was incorrect and we have verified with the State Board that it was an administrative error and corrected letters will be sent out shortly.

We will keep you posted with any new developments. Please contact us with any questions.
