Great Turnout & Legal Fund Details

We had a great turnout at the town hall tonight. Around 200 neighbors showed up! It was incredible to see this level of involvement and concern. Special thanks to City County Counselors Leroy Robinson and Jose Evans and other government representatives who joined us to provide an update and answer questions. We learned that after permits are issued, we have 60 days to file an appeal. Additionally, we are pursuing several other options at the state and local levels.

There are multiple routes for appeals & ways to get a public hearing. As mentioned during the meeting, we have engaged a couple of attorneys with expertise in environmental & real estate law to review our options. It will cost $1,600 in fees to file the appeal and there will be additional costs to prepare our case.

If we are going to stop this development, we are going to need financial support & continued community involvement. We have setup a GoFundMe account (gofundme.com/v5dt3b5d) for neighbors to donate. The Greater Historic Traders Point Non Profit organization has agreed to match all contributions! Additionally, all donations are tax deductible!
